Alan Patrick completed this event, described as ‘Water Wipeout is the ultimate obstacle race and mud run. This awesome challenge will include: Water Slides, Tightropes, Tunnels, Hurdles, Giant Walls, Cargo Nets, Spider’s Webs, Balance Beams, Mud, Water and the Assault Course, are you tough enough, are you up for it, are you ready for the race of your life?’
33 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with 3 PBs and a first lady!
Six Sphinx runners completed the 7th race in the series – Weedon – which is an interesting course with at least a couple of challenging climbs.
There were fewer Sphinx runners than normal, due to several reasons, but Ash and Tom both took home their category prizes!
Tom Marchi ran the 50th running of “the oldest half-marathon in the UK”.
While the seniors were slogging around the Memorial Park last Wednesday the juniors were taking part in the next round of the Quad Kids. 7 juniors ran, jumped and threw themselves around the Pingles track producing some great results on a very warm evening. Well done to all. The final meeting is at Rugby track on Wednesday 16 July. Let’s see if we can get a good turn out of juniors.
Thomas Lines completed this half-marathon, described as a predominately flat course, running through villages beneath the picturesque setting of the Malvern Hills.
12 Sphinx AC runners completed this popular race, in hot conditions. Ash won his category.
A cracking set of parkrun results with 23 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends taking part. We have parkrun tourism, PBs aplenty, and first female!
Thanks to all the runners, spectators, volunteers, and cake-makers for making the Sphinx AC Summer 5 a success.
