Results for the Hook Norton Christmas Canter, 21-Dec-2014
Hook Norton Harriers’ annual winter race is a fancy dress filled, chilly, hilly mix of road and track over a 7 mile loop.
6 Sphinx runners completed the canter in fine style.
Results for Coventry parkrun, 20-Dec-2014
Coventrian, former world record holder for 5km and current UK 3km record-holder, David Moorcroft, got the Coventry Santa parkrun started yesterday. Three Sphinx runners (or relatives) were inspired to new PBs. Well done to Michael Gough, Ian Cunningham and Thomas Wilkinson.
The highest age-grade rating by a Sphinx runner was 71.39% by Robyn McSharry.

Mary Bench, Tony McCarroll and Karen Timothy completed this trail winter half. Karen said:

Dorota, Joanna, Tracy and Dave ran in this festive event at Moreton Morrell, with the first 2 tackling the 10k and latter 2 the 20k.

Results for the Centurions Grand Prix (2 of 6), 07-Dec-14
13 Sphinx runners competed in the second of six races in this popular series. Ash finished 2nd overall. The next race is on the 4th January.
Juniors Christmas break

Results for the B’ham XC league, Div 3, 06-Dec-2014
13 Sphinx men made their way to Aldridge Airport, Walsall to compete in the second race of the Birmingham & District Invitation Cross Country League, Division 3. There were good individual performances by everyone and, once again, Andrejs and Ash took 2nd and 3rd place respectively, but the A team finished 6th for this race and sit in 5th place in the division.
The next league fixture is on the 10th January in Droitwich and is a combined fixture with the Midlands Women’s League.
Results for the International Running Challenge, 23-to-26-Nov-2014
A group of Sphinx runners travelled to Club La Santa in Lanzarote and competed in the International Running Challenge. This consisted of 4 races on 4 consecutive days; 10k road race, 13k ridge run, 5k beach run and 21k road race.
