Tedious three-lap course, slightly undulating, but no ‘stinkers’. Well organised and very supportive marshalls. Delightful village of Streatley, however drab shop-loading areas, subways and housing estates made this an instantly forgettable run.

Twenty Sphinx AC men ran the first of this season’s Birmingham & District XC races at Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa. The men’s race was held straight after the women’s race – making the terrain nice and sloppy, ensuring plenty of hilarity for the spectators at the stream!
