Thanks to James Abrams for the following report: This was our 2nd visit to this late summer half marathon. Not as flat as I remembered! undulating with some small climbs towards the end. A two lap route in the shade of Burnham beeches woods. We always enjoy this event and it benefits from a great set up by Burnham joggers.Super medal and t shirt as always and I managed to shave a few seconds off last years time so all in all worth the trip.
Mitch notched up his 250th parkrun on Saturday and Jackie completed her 50th parkrun. The celebrations (photos below) included Hawaiian shirts, balloons of varying number! and a conga finish. It was also Mitch’s 200th parkrun at Coventry and he almost finished in 250th position…almost.
Also at Coventry. well done to Brian McSharry, Bobby Hartwell and Paul Gocher on PBs!
Elsewhere, Barry Allen, Vicky Brewin and Rachael Allen joined in with Corby’s 200th parkrun celebrations, The Carvers were first-timers at Tamar Trails and well done to Alex Bartlett on a PB at Rushmoor.
4 Sphinx runners made the trip over to Birmingham for a 5k race, with Jackie getting an all-time PB for 5k!

Another busy parkrunday on Saturday, with congratulations to Pete Whitehouse on getting a big PB at Coventry and knocking Captain Bandito Wayne out of the parkrun competition. Also at Coventry, Robyn McSharry notched up her 150th parkrun.
Elsewhere, Pawel Langer was a first-timer at Krakow and ran his fastest ever parkrun time, the Wheatleys were first-timers at Kingsbury Water, Vicky Brewin was a first-timer at Braunstone and Catherine Gough was 2nd lady at Durham.

52 runners including 5 guests. It was good to see so many members there, even if we don’t always know if we’re coming or going!!
At one point it became rather manic at the finish line, as 5 or 6 runners crossed the line at the same time as a truck. If anyone has any queries about the results between position 25, Rachel, and position 35, Amarjit, please let me know.
