Results for Ironbridge Half Marathon and Fun Run, 13-Mar-2011

Three Sphinx AC seniors and one junior ran this weekend. Steve Court sent in this excellent race report (minor formatting change by me and emphasis mine): Just to let you know the results of the Ironbridge Half on Sunday run on a multi terrain course with plenty of mud. Mainly downhill for the first 6 miles but then we went through a very muddy section, then across the Ironbridge and then up a fairly long and steep hill at around 8 mile only to descend on the other side before climbing back up to the finish in Telford Park.

Two Sphinx AC ladies ran in the Inter Counties Cross-Country Championships at Cofton Park, representing Warwickshire against all the other counties of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. With each county allowed to enter up to 9 runners, this really was a top-class event. Kathryn Stuart ran in the Senior Ladies race over a 8km course, finishing 173rd out of 259 in a time of 33:48. Kathryn was 5th counter with the team finishing in 15th place.
