Committee

The Sphinx AC committee meets once a month to plan and organise various events and activities. They are there to support the club and ensure its smooth running for all members benefit.

	Chairperson - Allan Howling
	The Chairperson will provide the vision, leadership, communication and planning skills to develop the club for the benefit of all. They will run the committee and be responsible for the liaison and cooperation between club officers and sub committees.
	Secretary - Chrissy Thomas
	The Club Secretary provides a central point of contact for England Athletics administration, information and communication as well as third party associates and external organisations and Organisation of club meetings, agendas and minutes of meetings.
	Treasurer - Sergio Torjia
	The Treasurer of the club is responsible for producing and managing the club’s accounts and finances and will be responsible for all income and expenditure for the club. Reporting out at each committee meeting and the AGM.
	Membership Secretary - Ellie Davies
	Manage existing memberships, actively encourage new ones and deal first hand with the members themselves. Manage England Athletics registrations.
	Men’s Captain - Andy Wilkinson
	The Men’s Captain will liaise with the members and organise teams to take part in races, look after the group applications on a club level and ensure new faces are welcomed into the club.
	Ladies Captain - Sally-Anne Tully
	The Ladies Captain will liaise with the members and organise teams to take part in races, look after the group applications on a club level and ensure new faces are welcomed into the club.
	Junior Captain - Craig Robinson
	The Junior Captain is in charge of the training on a Monday evening for the Juniors and will liaise with the members and organise teams to take part in races and look after the waiting list, admitting new juniors into the training program and support with coaching.
	Welfare Officers - Liz McKinlay and Pete Fahy
	Provides leadership in the safeguarding for all, in particular vulnerable adults and juniors within the club and act as a key point of contact for anyone needing to support or guidance. Will also need to maintain relationships with the UK Athletics welfare team.
	Race Director - Wayne Broadbent
	In charge of organising all parts of putting on the three main races organised by Sphinx AC, Summer 5, Coombe 8 and the Mile Relays. Ensure that all tasks are completed by themselves or delegated to the appropriate person.
	Communications Officer - Mark Norman
	Will keep mailing lists up to date, be active on Facebook with items of interest, keep the website up-to-date and monitor inbox and reply to general enquiries.
	Kit/Supplies Manager - Sam Ward
	They will ensure that the Club Merchandise meets the needs of the Members and is sourced appropriately and funded as cost effectively as possible.
	Newsletter Author - Liz McKinlay
	In charge or collating all the club news into a newsletter to be released on the 1st of each month.
	Social Secretary - Andy McIntosh
	Will organise the Christmas party and presentation evening, as well as several informal social events through the year.
	Handicap Secretaries - Steve Court & Mark Moran
	In charge or all organisation around the six club handicap races carried out each year. Must carry out all tasks or delegate where appropriate to ensure the events run smoothly and everyone can take part.
