Wayne has provided the following write up on the mens cross country
13 blue and gold made the trip down to Gloucester for the 2nd race in the xc league, thankyou to all that travelled, with standout performances again from Dave Brewis (currently sitting joint 3rd overall) and Nigel Timms matching his first race position in being our 5th place counter again, At the half way stage in the season Sphinx are currently sitting on 7th place out of 21 teams, and we have managed to close up abit on the teams above us, hopefully we can get as many blue and gold out racing in the remaining fixtures, Dave brewis 5th 33.23 Allen El-Sour 44th 37.30 Jack Edwards 48th 37.44 Sergio Torija 59th 37.59 Nigel Timms. 6 7th 38.12 Rob Wheatley 72nd 38.24 Paul Slateford 104th 39.57 Colin piper. 115th 40.46 Ian Gower. 129th 41.45 Barry Allen 149th 42.44 Wayne Broadbent 171st 43.40 Kev Naughton. 176th 44.01 Nick Gilkes. 185th.45.02 Full results are on the Birmingham and District cross country website, race 3 is Saturday 12thJanuary at Droitwich, this will be a new venue to previous Droitwich races, details to follow closer to the event.
