The final race of this year’s handicap series was run along The Greenway from Burton Green to Kenilworth on an out and back course, with 21 runners taking part. As always there were several performances worth mentioning, Ash Miles set his 4th new course record of the year taking a second off his time from last year. More impressive however was the new ladies course record set by Catherine Gough who improved her own record also set last year by almost a minute. There were also new personal bests from a further 4 competitors, while Dorota Brynkiewicz was closest to her estimated time.

Great performances all-round on a challenging course. Andy Wilkinson finished in 15th position and bagged anew PB. There were also excellent PBs for Dave West, Hannah Downing and Fiona Quinn. Darron Handley continued his road back from injury with the help of Karen Timothy (see Bern’s picture). Welld one, everyone.
If I’ve missed anyone from the results, or any other PBs then let me know.
Colin Piper produced a cracking 5 minute mile to finish in 3rd place.

A slightly different run, at dusk down the airport runway with the lights on.
