Thanks to Ian Cunningham for the following race report:
On Saturday I completed the Worcestershire Beacon Race in 1hour 12 minutes 46 Seconds
A race described by the race organisers as a 7 mile multi-terrain event up to the top Worcestershire Beacon 1395 feet including steep ascents and descents and to make sure you are fit enough to complete this as THIS IS NOT A FUN RUN.
The course certainly matched the description and in a dozen or so occasions I even had to walk, 3 or 4 times enforced going up narrow paths by other runners in front, 3 or 4 times to just get my breath back and 3 or 4 times because it was quicker to walk than run and just prove this I even managed to overtake a runner whilst I was walking.
