Laura Pibworth represented Sphinx AC (her sister ran too) at this ParkRun south of the river Thames.

I did brockwell park (herne hill) parkrun with my big sis (Rosalyn Thomas) today. The course starts off at brockwell lido which is an unheated outdoor pool with a heated poolside bar!! The parkrun course takes in one full lap of the park perimeter and then one smaller lap, taking in sights such as adventure playground, not one, not two but three duckponds and zippos circus !
The park was created in 1811 and retains many of its original features, including the ornate gates and brockwell house, on top of the hill (tearoom), and was looking lovely in the sunshine (spring at last?!)
The race briefing started at 9 on the grass and then moved onto the path to start. With each loop there is a slow steady climb with the second half a fast downhill.also spotted en route was a green parakeet chirping in the trees!
