Mitch says “Eight Sphinx AC runners ran this annual May Day event based in the sleepy Leicestershire village of Woodhouse Eaves. This walk/run event is organised entirely by the local villagers, who provide marshalls, man the refreshment stops and provide food, glorious food in the Village Hall at the end. A beautiful Spring day weather-wise and perfect off-road conditions made the 13.5 mile course through parks and along countryside trails all that more enjoyable. Grazing deer and china tea-cups – not your usual half-marathon fayre. One of the running calendar’s best-kept secrets, and long may it remain so.”
