Sphinx AC were represented at a number of ParkRuns this weekend, with Robyn McSharry taking first lady place at Coventry – but cruelly equalling her PB!
Coventry
24 Sphinx AC runners/family/friends ran this weekend, with no first-timers and no PBs. This week, there was some small changes to the course; instead of starting on the field, we started on the path between the memorial and the Kenilworth/Leamington Road traffic lights. The finish was also moved toward the memorial but the overall distance seems to have remained the same – 3.15 miles.

Luke Makins represented Sphinx AC on his birthday weekend, nabbing a top ten place in the process.

Bournemouth Parkrun meets at the Kings Park Athletic Stadium in Boscombe. They have an area inside the stadium with a tuck shop, which was quite nice to get out of the wind. After a very friendly briefing we set off on a three lap course (one small then two larger laps) around the local park. It was quite a tough course. The recent poor weather meaning it was quite windy and trail shoes would have been a good choice with the route being half on path and half on trails. A fantastic and friendly Parkrun and definitely one to do if you are down there.
Kingsbury Water Park
One junior represented Sphinx AC this weekend at a very water-logged Kingsbury Water Park.
