Ben finished in 50:35, a good indicator of the difficulty of the course.

Ben’s report:

I took part in the the Threshold Summer Series 2010 Race 1 on Saturday June 12. 10km distance for this all-terrain race with many ups and downs and hardly any flat running.

The turnout was disappointing because of a lack of marketing and the fact that the Runner’s World website didn’t show their event until two days prior to taking place.

The race takes place at Ilmington in the Cotswolds. Stunning scenery and a real challenge – I think it would appeal to a lot of Sphinx runners. Will probably post something on the message board. The first hill lasts for over a mile and climbs some 500ft apparently and there is another long climb through fields later on. Really friendly atmosphere and a great venue.

Well done Ben, it’s one to keep in mind for next year.
