Race number 6 in the 2014 EMGP Series saw 7 Sphinx runners take on the Harborough ‘Square’ 5: 1 mile downhill, 1 mile flat, 1 mile uphill, 1 mile flat, preceded and followed by tedious circuits of a field.
The Volcano that is Ash finished 1st in his category, knocking 21 seconds off last year’s time (27:32), and 10th overall, while Rob Wheatley helped himself to a sub 32 minute 5 mile PB.
Ash also found time to brush up on his Polish during the journey home learning the words for ‘fast’ and ‘bloody fast’ as well as a few other choice ones 🙂
