Six Sphinx AC women made the trip to Sandwell to fly the blue and yellow flag at the latest of this season’s Birmingham league XC meetings.

Six sphinxettes (plus family and race day photographer armed with new camera) made the journey up the M6 to Sandwell Valley park. The ladies course was one small lap and two big ones, around a football pitch and wooded area, with a huge adults adventure playground next to it (yes we were quite tempted).
The course was slightly wet and muddy (no water jumps here!) in places, with a couple of steep but short hills with some nice downhills to break it up, before some zig-zagging across a field to do it all again.
