4 Sphinxees made the trip up the M69 for this morning’s Braunstone Park Run on the outskirts of Leicester. We skillfully avoided the showers and conditions were almost perfect for running. The course itself is a two-lapper, though the end of the first lap takes a slightly different route (along a gravel path behind an old house) than to the finish itself. Two fast downhill stretches and a nice, mainly paved course around a lake, but then through a car park, with one stiff hill at the half-way mark and the proverbial sting in the tail with a short, sharp 100 metre climb to the finish.Congratulations to Fiona on her all-time fastest 5k time of 30:09, knocking 37 seconds off her best at Coventry Park Run. Course PB’s for the rest of us, though admittedly Laura and Luke were first-timers
