Result for the Newton’s Fraction half-marathon, 05-Mar-2017

Thanks to James Abrams for the following report:

Based in Grantham and starting and finishing at there football ground with 400m track around it. Was awful weather conditions, heavy rain for first few miles then winds up to 15mph. After a couple of steady miles the course went along a tow path for nearly 3miles (where normally you would think yes some “banking”time to be had here) but no the rain had turned that part of the course into cross country.with a narrow gap to play with or your going for a swim! Then at mile 6 you are greeted with Cliff Hill. Doubles in height over 1km! Then regain some momentum trying to forget the head wind and at Mile10 comes Casthorpe Hill. Think this one was even harder and wish I didn’t notice the road warning sign max gradient 12%! But it was a nice medal and t shirt, and just a post note: over 100 non runners who cried off! My chip time 1hour 38min 43
