Result for the Cheltenham half-marathon, 27-Sep-2015

We have the following report from Jackie Stuart:

On Sunday 27th I set off bright and early to take part in my first half-marathon since 2012. I was a bit apprehensive because I had gone over on my ankle whilst running on the previous Thursday, and it had swelled to twice its normal size and was a kaleidoscope of colours.
Anyway, forget the excuses, the run went well. OK, so I stopped at all the drinks’ stations and I walked up some of the hills but I finished it. That was the main aim; also I was happy with my time – with some more longer runs in my legs I can only get better.
Position  2060   (Age group 19th)
Chip Time   2.07.43
Between 3000 and 4000 took part in the main race (there was also a schools’ challenge). A good atmosphere with plenty of spectators around the course. Not too hilly; plenty of long, flat stretches, a three mile loop around Cheltenham racecourse accompanied by 4-5 musical groups and a downhill finish.
Details of next year’s event are already on the website – Sunday September 25th
