2011 Sphinx AC Coombe 8

The 2011 Sphinx AC Coombe 8 was held on Sunday 20 November. The mist and cold air didn't deter nearly 300 hardy runners, with some excellent individual performances.

As Coombe Country Park is a working estate, the course had to be slightly changed from the 2010 event. The changes included a water hazard and an extra bomb crater, plus a slightly increased length (approximately 8.4 miles).

Results

The overall winner was Alisatair Smith of Coventry Godiva Harriers, finishing in a time of 47:26. The first lady over the line was Myshola Kirkham, also of Coventry Godiva Harriers, in a time of 54:40. The team prize was won by the host team, Sphinx AC.
